About The Navigators Africa

Navigators Africa exists to change the spiritual landscape of Africa by advancing the gospel of Jesus and developing generations of disciplemakers who live and work among the people. Our communications work helps tell these stories of transformation, engage partners, and strengthen visibility across the continent.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Communications Assistant (Intern) to support our regional communications office during a maternity leave period. The selected candidate will serve from 12th January to 12th June 2026, ensuring continuity in some key communications functions and receiving mentorship in integrated communications within a multicultural ministry environment.

This short-term role offers valuable exposure to regional operations, hands-on learning, and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, editing, and circulation of NavNews Africa Magazine.
• Help maintain and update the Navigators Africa website.
• Support the moderation and posting of updates on the regional WhatsApp group.
• Provide basic graphic design support using Canva or similar tools.
• Assist in sharing stories and updates related to missions, donor communications, and ongoing campaigns such as Operations $2.
• Manage and respond to emails sent to communications@navigatorsafrica.org.
• Manage social media. (Instagram & Facebook)

Who We’re Looking For

A motivated individual who:

• Holds or is pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.

• Demonstrates strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

• Has basic digital and design skills (WordPress, Canva, or equivalent tools).

• Is organized, adaptable, and eager to learn.

• Can work confidently in a multicultural and faith-based environment.

• (Bonus) Is able to communicate in both English and French.

  • Stipend: USD 2,000 (total for the full duration)

  • Reporting to: Regional Director, Navigators Africa
