Do you have preferred hotel partners for the conference?

Yes. We have secured Kigali Serena Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton, and Onomo Hotels for our delegates’ accommodation.

Is there a group rate for conference attendees?

Yes, the accommodation rates on the registration form reflect a special group rate that has been negotiated for attendees.

How do I pay for my accommodation?

Please refer to the available accommodation payment plans HERE.

How far are the hotels from the airport?

The average distance from Kigali International Airport to the hotels is 7.5 miles, and it takes about 25 minutes by car.

How can I book a hotel room for the conference?

During registration, you will be able to select your accommodation. Your hotel booking confirmation will be emailed to you later.

Is a deposit required to secure a hotel reservation?

No additional deposit is required. Your registration fee covers the accommodation booking. However, full payment of accommodation must follow the outlined payment schedule.

What amenities are included in the hotel room fees?

Hotel fees cover bed, breakfast, swimming pool access, Wi-Fi, and TV for the entire conference duration, including the day of departure. You are free to take advantage of any other offerings and services at the hotel at your own extra cost and convenience.

Will meals and refreshments be provided during the conference?

Yes. The conference fee covers tea breaks and lunch for the four conference days. Breakfast is included in your accommodation arrangement. You will need to make your own arrangements for dinner.

Can I share a room with another participant to reduce accommodation costs?

Yes, you can opt for a shared room (Double room) on the registration form. We reserve the right to allocate a roommate for the duration of the conference.

Do I need to organize my own meals at the hotel?

Breakfast will be provided at the hotel, and lunch will be served at the conference venue. However, dinner is your responsibility and can be arranged at your hotel or another location. You will soon receive a list of restaurant suggestions for dinner.

Is there accommodation available for those with disabilities or special needs?

Can I bring my children to the conference?

Yes, children are welcome. Children aged 6-12 years will receive a 50% discount on breakfast, while children over 12 will be charged the full rate.

 

How easy is it to get a visa to visit Rwanda?

Citizens of African Union, Commonwealth, and La Francophonie member countries can get a visa upon arrival and are waived visa fees for a 30-day visit. For more visa information, click HERE.

Which countries need to apply for a visa to visit Rwanda?

What documents do I need to cross the border into Rwanda by road?

  • Passport
  • Visa (for non-EAC citizens)
  • Alternative travel documents for East Africans (Certificate of Identity or Inter-State Pass)

What language is spoken in Rwanda?

Kinyarwanda is the primary language spoken in Rwanda. However, English and French are widely used, especially in Kigali, making communication easy for international guests.

What currency is used in Rwanda?

Rwanda’s official currency is the Rwandan Franc (RWF). Exchange rates fluctuate, so it’s best to check the rate before traveling. You can use a currency converter for up-to-date information.
